Need app to blank/put to sleep the screen without access to the power button

Hi, new member here. Is there an app available that will blank the screen or put the ipad to sleep when I remove power to the device? I'm installing my iPad in the dash of my car and won't have access to the power button so I would like to put the ipad in sleep mode when I turn off the car. The Lighting connector will be plugged into a USB port that will switched through my accessory circuit. Thanks!
