Anyone using this particular battery/case? I did a search on the forum and didn't see any mentions. If so, did you have any issues with it? The reason I ask is that I bought one, charged it up, but when I put my iPad 3 in, it doesn't connect. The iPad doesn't show that it's charging and there is no bleep that I normally get when connecting power to my iPad. I had a similar Kingston battery/case for my iPad 1 and really loved not having to worry about battery. According to the Amazon review, this should work fine for the iPad 3, so I'm somewhat baffled as to what the issue is. I tried it with my mother's iPad 2 and that wouldn't connect either.

I tried the case your inquiring about. My iPad 3 was a very tight fit. The problem is that the iPad 3 does not seat correctly to the battery case connector.

Just as a follow up, I sent the original case back and got a replacement case. Same problem. I decided to open it up and see if I could figure out what the problem was. The issue was two fold. First the glue that held the connector to the case didn't hold, causeing the connector to slip down, meaning no connection. Second, the solder job wasn't correct and the wire running from the board to the connector was loose. I could get it to start charging by jiggling the wire, but it wouldn't stay on. Eventually, the wire fell off. So the basic answer is, either poor quality control or a bad batch. If my eyes were a bit younger, or if I had the right equipment (i.e. large magnifying stand) I would try to solder it back.
