Navigon doesn't work with iPad mini

I have been using Navigon for years on my various iPhone, but when I try to use in my new Mini, the map seems to loose track of direction & location. As I travel in my car, the map jumps and twists at regular intervals (about 10 secs). Any suggestion on what to do?

Silly question but do you have the WiFi only iPad mini? If so it doesn't have a GPS chip.

Navigon seems to be working fine on my mini.
