Hi All,
I've been searching for a long time for a solution to this but no joy, so am hoping you can advise a relative newbie to most of this.
I currently have a BT HomeHub 2.0, IPad2, Windows laptops (Vista & 7), PS3, all running on one wifi network around the house, plus BTVision via homeplugs.
I would like to share files, in particular, music, photos, .mov videos, across the above. These files are currently spread around the various bits of kit, so I would like to bring them all together into one place. The iPad would be the main piece of kit accessing the files.
I was originally thinking a NAS would suit, but I am also considering an external hard-drive plugged into the HomeHub to then share wirelessly. An airport express into a couple of stereos around the house.
I would also like to build in a back-up solution while I am at it as I’m really scared of losing precious photos and videos of our two young kids.
Please, any advice would be welcome in the best way to set this up. I have trawled a lot, but not found much on the iPad accessing a hard drive via a HomeHub?
Budget: not including the airport express’, I would like to keep under £150.
