Missing virgin.net 'sent' folder

Having set up my email account on my iPad 2 and whilst it has the 'Inbox' Drafts and Trash folders the sent one is missing and I don't know why or how to get it.

Can anyone tell me why and what I need to do to get it

What kind of account is it (IMAP, POP, Exchange)?

Also, try sending an email, if you have not already, and see if the folder appears.
