MBPro sez update req’d to “see” ipad?

it doesn’t say what the update is and I see no reason to be required to update. anyone know about this situation?

my understanding is that itunes version didn’t matter..I’m not being asked to update iTunes.

I've had that pop up before and it makes no difference whether or not you update. If you try, it says the update failed but iTunes still sees the iPad.

ok...for me it didn’t see the ipad until after the update..weird..thanks for the clarification.
