I’ve managed to load a copy of Mac OS 10.9.5 Mavericks on my old late 2009 iMac. I’d forgotten how beautiful this version of OS X was. It makes OS 26 look exactly what it is in comparison - a flat boring looking OS with no character. I’m obviously limited with what I can do with the old machine, not least due to security issues, but I’m really enjoying using it at the moment and have just managed to buy an old version of MS Office for it. Fingers crossed I can get it working ok because I used to like the old Mac version of Word back in the day.
