With the Mailbox app on iPad Air I am having trouble getting email photos saved. When pointing and holding over a picture the pop up window does not have the save icon. It works fine on other versions of ipad where there is also a save icon that appears. Is there a way? I can copy and print but no save?

The Mailbox app should have asked you for permission to access the Photos app on your iPad when you installed it. If you didn't allow it, you can't save pictures to the Photos app. Go to Settings - Privacy - Photos and enable the Mailbox app there. It should work afterwards.
