Live streaming

I'm gonna be live streaming soon and want to know a few things... who makes a battery case for the mini 2/3? i'm asking since I think that having the screen and camera on all the time will kill it in 3 hours or less but if I have an external battery pack I know i'm gonna forget it sometimes.... also is there a program that is similar to live:air? i'm hearing some bad stuff about it and hoping there is another program like it that I can use to stream to twitch and last who had a tripod that can support the iPad mini?

Hi Whitielli.
About the tripod, I made a ipad holder by modifying a "bulldog" clip.
See the pics. It attaches to a normal tripod as would a camera.
The size of the clip is such that it holds the ipad firm without over tightly.
Using this clip I have videod dozens of hours of sporting video, all indoors.
