Reuters reports that LG Display CEO Kwon Young-soo has stated to journalists that LG Display is currently unable to keep up with Apple's demands for iPad parts.
"Demand keeps growing and we can't meet it all," he told Reuters. "Apple may have to delay launches of the iPad for some countries due to tight component supplies and strong demand."
Although the CEO said that LG Display is "considering" increasing production lines to meet the demand, he didn't expect that overall supply would increase much beyond its present rate until the beginning of next year.
All this is at a time when, as Reuters reports, analysts are predicting that demand for the iPad will accelerate in the next few quarters, with iSuppli upping its iPad sales forecast by 82 percent to nearly 13 million units sold in 2010.
Wonder how happy Apple is about Kwon's predicting iPad launch delays?!
