Keyboard to big??

Hi all,
This is an IPAD 5th generation and I've got this problem.
The keyboard covers up some of what I'm typing if I type to much.
I use it in the horizontal position but turning it vertical and it still covers some of my text.
I usually don't type long e-mails.
A few times, I've had to continue on the windows desktop due to the IPAD keyboard covering my text!!
any thoughts appreciated.

You could try splitting the keyboard or using the floating mode. Just tap and hold the keyboard symbol in the lower right corner to choose an option.
