Yesterday, we shared with you a mock-up video of what seems to be the iPad Air 2. Now we have a bunch of high-resolution images that seem to show the new iPad in all its splendor. On par with previous rumors and hearsay, the next-generation iPad Air shows a more trim profile, recessed volume buttons, and the addition of a Touch ID sensor to the home button.
The device comes in at just 7 millimeters thick, the same thickness as the iPhone 6 and in addition to a redesigned speaker grille, the unit also sports a small hole where the mute/orientation lock switch appears on existing iPad units.
The iPad Air 2 is almost certain to come with Touch ID and Apple's latest A8 chip and we only wonder about the inclusion of NFC for Apple Pay compatibility. Have a look at some more leaked pictures in the first thread from below.
