Is there a way to transfer movies from pc to ipad for free without using itunes?

I have tried using aiseesoft but it doesn't let me click on anything in the trial version. I thought about buying it but I thought I would see if there was another way. Thank you.

Most Members use Handbrake - it's an Open Source project and it's completely free. You'll find numerous reports and reviews of it at this Forum.
