Is it free or subsription

I read that The Daily requires a subsription but on apple store it
says free. How can you tell which require subsription or it's really free?

The app itself is free, but you need the subscription to receive news content.

I think the app is free, but then you have to subscribe to the publication itself. Many periodicals and newspapers work that way. The app is simply the viewer - then you need to pay for the content.

Am so new to all this how do you pay for the the publication?
If you download the app is it automatic charged to you cc for
the publication?

On another note how do you cancel out?

No, you'll pay nothing until you subscribe. Subscribing is done inside the app, much like an in-app purchase. All options for subscribing are in the app, including the options to cancel your subscription.

The content was starting to get better when the free trial ran out, so I went ahead and got a weekly subscription and then put a reminder in my calendar 30 days down the road. I'll make up my mind more permanently then, based on whether I actually read it regularly.
