iPhone screen cracked need help with DIY repairs.

Okay, due to a huge misfortune my iPhone 3GS screen shattered, I have an old iPhone 3GS, and I was wondering if I could simply swap the screens out and be all dandy? If so I'm really not sure how I would go about it, help will be greatly appreciated.

Have a look at the iFixit web site where they have a number of Apple device 'tear downs' and show you how to take apart Apple devices and replace the various components.
