iPad2 infected with trojan virus (?)

I have received two messages on my iPad mini that says that my iPad2 has been exposed to a Trojan virus.
The message comes in a popup window in Spanish from http://virusscan.mobi.
It instructs me to click OK to scan my phone.
This window is over another window that says my iPad phone is infected.

Is this a scam? Any idea where this is coming from?

Unless you explicitly agree to any installation triggers such as "Press OK to perform X", your device is safe. Spyware/Malware can only be installed through 3 methods: 1 being physical access to your device, 2 being via your host (127.0.0.1) from mass distribution/corporate licenses, and 3 from installing modified IPAs or debs, aka cracked applications. Many pirates believe that installing cracked applications is just a one-way-fast-track to getting free apps, but in reality, they have the potential to rip their device wide open for malicious access/intent.

The iOS sandboxing is extremely secure, and as long as you do not knowing or unknowingly agree to any ToS that you're not aware of, your device is safe from spyware and malware and there's little to nothing that you have to worry about when it comes to the integrity of your device. When in doubt, close out of the application and exit the app through your multitasker and start fresh
