Can anyone please help me resolve my five week problem of not being able to send mail out of the ipad 2 Mail app? I have tried all the intranet recommendations and the paid Apple tech support. Nothing resolved the issue. I have Comcast/Infinity service and using google email. Thank you.

Regards,

Hi, tlea005 and welcome to the forum. You seem to have tried many avenues, so it is not clear what else may be left.
Do some simple checks just to make sure, (if you have not already done these):

** Tap Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars and under Accounts open up your email server's account and check that the "Mail" slider is "On".
** Tap the Account name and check that details for IMAP Account Information and Incoming and Outgoing mail server details are correct.
** Double press the home button and remove all the icons on the bottom task bar and then restart your iPad.
** Reset/Reboot your iPad: Simultaneously hold down the On/Off and Home buttons until the screen blacks out and the white Apple logo appears. Keep holding until the iPad
restarts.
** If still no success, you will need to Delete the Account and re-enter all the required server's info, if necessary by reference to Comcast/Infinity.

If all this has not helped, I am hoping wiser heads on this forum can get you back into some more emailing.
Regards, Andrew
