ipad keeps restarting when plug on charge

hi i have an ipad which keeps restart when i plug it to charge.it shows me the logo of a battery charging and then shows the logo apple and then switch off.it keeps doing this over and over again..

what can cause this problem??

ipad 3rd generation running with the latest ios

It may be a hardware fault, but you could try a hard reset. Hold the Home and Power buttons until the Apple logo shows. Let go and after a pause the iPad will restart.
