iPad backup taking 2 days during update...

Im trying to update to iOS 4.2 and have currently been in the process of backing up for two days with my status bar hardly even a quarter of the way done. Can someone please help me and tell me how to accelerate this process? Thank You, my first time posting here

Yeah, if you have any 'store stuff' apps like GoodReader, VLC, Readdle etc. Copy all of the stuff out of these apps to your computer, then DELETE those apps.

After the update, reinstall the apps and recopy the 'stuff' over to them.

Also, instead of deleting, just run a full sync as 3.2.2 before updating. It will see the latest backup and skip that step. Just dont close iTunes.
