Hi stefanilutan, welcome to the forum. The major reason why in the last two years iPads have NOT contracted a virus is because of the walled in garden wherein the iPad occupies. While many people lament that they have no control of their iPad, i.e., view files, have the same file accessible to all apps, etc., this prevents the iPad from being vulnerable to a virus.
However, I will still do things that will continue to minimize my exposure to potential viruses--don't open email from unknown senders, especially attachments. I don't respond to emails requesting personal information. I have firewalls, virus protection on my PC that I sync with in iTunes.
