IPAD 1 in apple logo screen loop.

Hi this is a non hacked iPad, i was just playing a game yesterday and the machine froze and rebooted in a continual loop. I have tried a full restore and it returns to the same state as before. I have also put the unit into DFU Mode and tried a restore there too, but still the iPad tried to boot, gets recognised in itunes, at the point of carrier update then reboots back into the loop. Is there any fix for this?

any help woould be very much appreciated

an update to this, when the Ipad goes through the restore motions, it reboots after install, then teh line in the middle which has to get to the end prior to itunes detecting again, gets half way stops goes back a little then goes back into the reboot loop
