iOS 5 Safari caching old web pages

I've noticed with iOS 5 Safari that when I bring up a webpage, press on a link, then press the back button I wind up with an older version of the webpage, not the version I had just viewed. It appears that Safari is caching this older version and using it instead of the latest version that I just displayed. Even if I refresh the page, press on a link and press the back button an older version of the page is displayed. Has anyone else seen this? Is there a setting I can change to stop this behavior? It is driving me crazy to come back to a page, start reading through it and realize that it the same page I read the day before.

This is just another annoying issue with IOS 5.0 and above. Apple ruined my iPad, doesn't print like before, back button takes you to old versions of the tie and iPad 1 is constantly crashing.....shame on you Apple, you opened up the door or cheaper tablets because you didn't keep it error free.

I've noticed it also. If you tap on the refresh icon in the URL you get the latest. I see it as a minor inconvenience and probably intentional for some reason.

Safari back button takes me to an old cached web site page

I have this issue as well. I have no idea why this is happening. Dear Apple, please help. This is quite annoying.

That is unusual and it's never happened to me but would be very annoying. There has been a lot of reports from members concerning Safari. Give these steps a try-

Do the four finger swipe up or double press the home button to reveal your multi task bar along the bottom. It will show all the apps that you have opened at one time or another. Long press the app until it jiggles and a red minus sign will appear above it. Press the minus sign, this will close the app, not delete it. It's also a good idea to close all these apps, as it helps the iPad run smoothly, I do mine every night. Check and see if it is operating now, if not a restart is in order.

Restart: Press and hold the power off button, the one at the top right. You will see a slide appear to power off, slide this and the screen will go dark and a Whirly will appear. When the Whirly disappears your iPad is now off. Press the power button again until the Apple logo appears, this will take a few seconds and your iPad will start again. You should restart your iPad occasionally also as it will keep it running smoothly. Now see if it is operating. If not a reset is the next step.

Reset: Hold the power off button and the home button simultaneously, keep holding them in and you will see the power off slide appear and disappear, wait until you see the Apple logo appear before releasing the buttons. It will take a little longer for your iPad to start. This is a reset.

When your iPad or an app begins to behave strangely these are the first steps you should do to rectify it. Let us know how you go, good luck!!
