Hi all,
I am so grateful for all of the great information I've found on this forum so far. Lately I've been having trouble updating my IPad2 so I can have it cloud with my new IPhone. I keep getting the error message that says my session timed out. I have read all of the posts I can find here about this problem and tried ensuring my Internet connection was strong enough by making sure my download was the only activity on my connection at the time, I plugged into my desktop which is physically attached to the modem rather than using my laptop and WiFi, I made sure I had the ITunes 10.1, I plugged into a real USB port rather than a hub and it's still not working. The other suggestion I saw said to turn off my virus protection but I'm not sure I even have virus protection. So my question is how do I find the virus protection if I have it? Thank you for all your thoughtful advice.
Sam

Hi Sam and welcome to the Forum!

The latest version of iTunes is 10.5.3 so this may be your problem. Is your desktop the computer that you normally sync your ipad with? You really should have virus protection for your PC and laptop, to find out, press Start and then All Programs and have a look here for some form of virus protection. Below you will find some links to help you
