Imported photos from Dropbox - Can't delete-Help

I imported a number of photos from Dropbox. Opened them in Dropbox and saved them to iPhoto. Now I find I am unable to delete them. I have read all the related threads. No help. I am hopeful someone else has had the same problem and found a solution. Thanks in advance for your help.

You have to click the Edit button and the click the Settings "sprocket" in the lower right corner of the screen and there you will find the Delete option.

This thread could be old, but still pertinent.

From your iPad Dropbox, navigate to the file you desire to delete, just swipe your hand over it (left to right, or right to left), the delete tab appears. You can safely delete with confirmation to do it.
