Hey Thomas - my cherry tree is in bloom and our azaleas and dogwoods are just coming out - will post a few pics next week (which I've done in the past) - my location is Piedmont, North Carolina. Dave
Cherry trees where I live won't be blooming for a few weeks yet.
We had more than 20° C last week.
When in bloom, cherry trees are one of the most beautiful trees to look at.

Thomas - I grew up in Michigan so know the feeling -
Now, in North Carolina, the azaleas and other shrubs coming out in my front lawn (pic below from today) - down the hill on the right are azaleas that bloom a few weeks later, so we have spring color in the yard for a good month or more; and the rhodedendrons coming out a little later. Dave.

Wow North Carolina is so pretty this time of the year. I actually lived in a town called Laurinburg in North Carolina for 5 years before comming back to Wisconsin.

What a coincidence - after my radiology residency, I was an Army Major for 2 years (mid-1970s) - four of us ran the Radiology Department at Womack Army Hospital, Ft. Bragg (Fayetteville, NC) - we were able to make some extra money by covering local radiologists in the area - one of our weekly jobs was a Friday-Saturday morning at the hospital in Laurinburg (the only radiologist then was John Alcini), so once a month for 2 years, I drove there and back - about an hour on 401, as shown below.
