Two very old typewriters

Seen in the children's museum we were visiting today

Hi Johanna - nice pics of Vienna, sunsets, & the typewriters, the latter I can relate to! When I was growing up in Toledo, Ohio (1950s/60s), my father ran a business machines place and worked on plenty of 'old' typewriters back then - one of my first typewriters was an Underwood, probably a slightly later model - took typing in high school (was the fastest in the class - YEA!) - sure came in handy when computers came along - thanks for the memories - Dave

Just took Susan to Charlotte, North Carolina for her January birthday - stayed @ the Ritz and had some wonderful dinners, including oysters both nights - YUMMY!

Just a couple of nights and visited several of the wonderful museums there, including the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art - at the entrance, there is a beautiful sculpture shown below (short description quoted) - Dave

The 17-foot whimsical sculpture was created in 1991 by Niki de Saint Phalle and is covered from top to bottom in pieces of mirrored and colored glass.

I like the reflected sky in the first photo better than the direct view. It even shows more detail than the direct sky view.

You're right, it's always better to see more of the scenery in a landscape picture.
I zoomed in at the second one because of the interesting colour, and the trace of the sun behind the mountains in the distance. That wouldn't have been visible in a picture like the first one.

I found this photo of the ad for the Apple-1 computer, the first product offered for sale by Apple. In recent years examples have sold for upwards of a million dollars. I thought you guys might be interested.
