American Moderns, 1910-1960 - From O'Keeffe to Rockwell - a traveling exhibit from the Brooklyn Museum now in our town - a wide assortment of American artists from the period w/ a broad variety of styles - some of the art works that we saw today (won't go into details but O'Keeffe is the flower pic & Rockwell is obvious, but a work I've not seen before, look @ the sailor's arm carefully - :)) - Dave

Decided whilst I couldn't sleep, to pop out for some fresh air, take a walk, and snap a few pics on my travels. Taken approx 3-4.30 am and a heavy fog engulfing most things . <img src="http://www.ipadforums.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=54143"/> <img src="http://www.ipadforums.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=54144"/> <img src="http://www.ipadforums.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=54145"/> <img src="http://www.ipadforums.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=54146"/> <img src="http://www.ipadforums.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=54147"/> <img src="http://www.ipadforums.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=54148"/> <img src="http://www.ipadforums.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=54149"/> Sent from my iPad 3 64gb using iPF

They were taken as I walked through a town center . The order taken was a route I took to my local 24hr store to buy milk & pain killers for my partner ( toothache) , I thought the misty fig gave the whole scene a " different sense of location" and far from its normal appearance . It was a little chilly though .
I used to work nights ( a few years ago ) in the town and thought that one night it'd be nice to capture what most people didn't see . The opportunity presented itself last night and the fog added to the feel , although autofocus was working a lot to distinguish a focal reference point but they've come out ok .

I have not edited these photos .

Drew.......just love your photos.....it must have been so quiet and still......really quite magical!

Wish I could just stroll around at that time.....but knowing me I would have freaked myself out and had to run back! :O

Giradman......love those artworks also.

Yes, I did look at that sailors arm.....I wouldn't want my name on that list though! ;)

OK - I had to take a second look @ that arm (expanded pic below) - YES, I don't see your name (may be your loss? ;))

BUT, that name being added was actually my mother's first name - HMMM - who was my father? Now confused! :D Dave

Amazing, the fog makes it appear otherworldly.

Great night shots and an eerie atmosphere with that mist and fog, Drew wal. Excellent subject matter you chose; brings out the lonely feel of a night walk. Also, amazing the camera quality of the iPhone 5S.

Doodling in celebration of Pi day. <img src="http://www.ipadforums.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=54178"/>

That's very good TP! Love how you've created an animal of sorts!

Coming up with the ideas is always the hardest for me but you've certainly got that talent! ;)

Thanks. Though this is mostly about not having any ideas. Making creatures or other things out of letters, numbers, or symbols is an old doodle habit from high school and college note faking.

One of the nice things about the SketchClub and DrawQuest apps is that they offer challenges/idea starters every day.
