Thanks All for your comments - took one pain & one sleeping pill last night, and actually slept fairly well - thumb not as sore this morning, so I suspect improvement by tomorrow!

But there are limitations having such a large thumb bandage, e.g. reading my morning newspapers; and peeling hard boiled (HB) eggs! My breakfast is usually a HB egg w/ coffee and maybe a piece of toast - I make the eggs myself and have the cracking and peeling down well - guess WHAT! I could not do it easily and had to get Susan to help! :D Dave

It looks magical and seems like you can walk under it if you choose! I'd choose! :)

Oh, the line ups with walls so people like me don't faint from standing too long and go into the water! That'd be good for me! :/)
Does it cost money or is it a freebie from the city?
Seriously, it truly looks like a beautiful place to visit! Do you have more photos you want to share? I'd like to see them! Thanks, scifi.

It's not free, it costs about $12.00 and lasts less than an hour.

Too bad it is so pricey! Healthier to just walk the river anyway, right! :) Peace begins with a smile. :) M Teresa
There are walkways on both sides of the Riverwalk for it's entire length. Walking the entire length doesn't take too long, unless you stop to enjoy the many restaurants, bars, clubs and shops. :D

Ya, that would make it EVEN better, especially at night! Did you do it? Since you know how long it took I guess you did! How about at night? Did you do it at night or split it to night and day?

Did you join them? ;)

It's a Black Vulture, isn't it? We don't see many Blacks here, mainly Turkey Vultures. Nice photo.

Yes, it is a Black Vulture. He was in a group of 6 or so. I've seen them flying around, but never up this close. When I saw them, I quickly headed home to get the camera. As they were eating a deer (I think), they didn't seem in a hurry to leave. Ugly jokers, but they play an important function. We have Turkey Vultures here, too, and I've yet to see one on the ground. I was happy to get some shots. This is a life bird for me.

HAA! Venison - one of my favorite red meats! The vultures seem to have 'good taste' - :D Dave
