Hi Johanna - can you tell us where the organ is located? Looks 'new' although might be a restoration - I own a modicum of organ music (including 2 boxes of JS Bach's complete works) and like to play the music loud on my den speakers (BUT only when Susan is out of the house - she's not a fan). My Bach boxes are w/ Ton Koopman & Marie-Claire Alain performing on multiple different organs - however, I would cull out one for the Olivier Vernet box, but OOP or way overpriced - Thanks - Dave

Thanks - looked pretty new to me - I had a radiology resident years ago who helped to build organs as a teenager - a lady doctor - she really liked the experience, as I recall.

This morning our 'tree service' showed up to remove two tall dead pines in the back of our house - pics from the front yard over the roof - bucket man working on the first pine (2nd one just to the left) - both infected w/ some type of bark insect/beetle. Over the years, we've had 4-5 pines removed from the area, so this spring, I'll have our landscape guy give me some ideas for filling in that corner - Dave

Nope - we do have a den fireplace but have not used in years, plus when I was growing up in Michigan my father loved fires and we used only hardwoods - pine does not burn well, but sure that you know your fireplace woods -

The crew consisted of 6 guys - very efficient (probably my 4th time or so using the same tree service) - the main trunks of those two trees ended up w/ 10-12 foot logs a foot or more in diameter - now to send my landscape guy some pics of that empty looking corner in my back driveway - may take a couple of years to fill in the space. Dave

Hi Scifan.. - well over the decades, I've had close to 20 trees removed from our property (5 pines came down w/ Hurricane Hugo in 1989); SO, if I had all of that wood, a log house would certainly be a possibility -

Actually, 'log houses' have become quite popular in the mountain areas around here - just found a couple images below off the web, but we've seen similar ones and different log building businesses in our mountain travels. However, don't believe that even w/ all of the trees removed from out property that I could put up one of those beautiful homes. Dave
