We have almost identical thistles in Canada. I haven't seen that kind of butterfly, though.
You've captured some very interesting cloud formations.
Possible. I didn't take the picture because of the cloud formations. Maybe it's not visible at first. At the same level as the sun, to it's right, there seems to be a "rainbow" in or between the clouds, a very small one. I've seen that before, but it was more distinct back then, and larger.
I just noticed it. It looks like a round spot with the colours of the spectrum. It's in the wrong location in the sky for a rainbow, though. It's too close to the Sun for a regular rainbow. Did you see one on the other side of the Sun?
No, it was just at the right. It's not a sun dog.
