Tweaked? No.

More like distorted until it entered an alternate reality. Did a lot of adjusting in the Photos app, then went on and used more filters and adjustments in some extensions.

I have no idea what kind of the flower it is. Sorry.

Well been away at Wrightsville Beach (near Wilmington, NC - a 4 hr drive) - out annual fall trip to the ocean for some relaxation & wonderful seafood - will post an 'update' in my travelogue thread of the area, but just a few pics - the sunset from our room the first night & an eerie image of living/dying long leaf needle pines - the drooping dead needles reminded me of shrunken heads! (from Carolina Beach State Park - did about 3 miles of their walking trails). Dave :)

Thanks for some more great photos. What kind of trees are in your second photo?

Longleaf Pine - a ubiquitous tree across the southeast USA, especially in the colonial days - a little history quoted below (Source) and a picture of a healthier forest (same website) - that book looks quite interesting - have not read it myself but the reviews on Amazon are superb - might see if I can get a copy from our local library - Dave :)

When the first Europeans arrived in what is today the United States, the longleaf pine filled forests from East Texas to southern Virginia. “Longleaf was the sky, the walls, the ground of existence in the places where it grew,” write the authors of the new book Longleaf, Far as the Eye Can See (University of North Carolina Press). But if you know history, you know what happened. Logging and poor land management reduced some ninety million acres of longleaf pine forest to about three million acres, taking with it an ecosystem that supported everything from the fox squirrel to the bobwhite quail.

Great photos - love the red glow on the rail tracks (my assumption) - NOW, I'm assuming you mean 'soccer' in reference to a 'football game', although I know there is Canadian football American style? Dave :)
I like the how the red light of the setting sun reflects off the rails, leaving them the only visible objects in the foreground.
Soccer and football in Canada are two completely different games. Football is played with a brown leather ovoid ball, pointed at both ends. Here's the Wikipedia article. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_football

Thanks for the link - I now recall the difference! Dave :)
