Icloud music sync

I have all of my music on my iPod and I want it to copy to my iPad? Is there a way to use ICloud or do I have to sync it to the computer? I noticed whenever I buy a song now it goes to my iPad. But I bought the iPod songs before iOS 4 and 5. Thank you for your help.

Open iTunes on your iPad and select the Purchased section from the bottom. Every music track you've ever bought from iTunes is there, ready to download again for free. This is what iCloud does for iTunes music. You can also get most TV Shows you've purchased. No movies though. The Studios aren't cooperating.

If you want to sync it all in one swell foop, you are still stuck with iTunes on the computer.
