how to download app

guys, please help me...
i couldn't download app from apstore directly from my ipad. it needs to connect first to my macbook. does anyone can tell me how to download the app directly from the ipad?

Are you trying to download using 3G? If the app is large (greater than 20MB) the iPad insists that you use WiFi.

this what I meant..
1. i was trying to download apps by using 3G.. yes it downloaded but the file is loaded so long.. until 1 days it didn't finished yet.
2. also, i was trying by using wifi... but it happens too as using 3g..

i didn't know what happened... then I tried to my iphone but it was ok on iphone... why not with my ipad then...
that is why I ask to the forum...
