What's new

How do you use siri

Useful stuff, like:
  • Setting the timer.
  • Add items to Reminders shopping list.
  • And other quick reminders.
  • A quick note to myself
  • Ask the time, when driving and wanting to keep my eyes on the road.
  • Dictation for messages and posts.
  • Start Flashlight app in the dark.
  • Play (music, artist, playlist) when walking.

Misc not really useful things, like:
  • Roll the dice
  • Flip a coin
  • Get a random number.

Ask silly questions, like:
  • What is the Force?
  • What's my name?
  • Why did the chicken cross the road?
  • And other stuff when I think of them.

Siri will type for me when I get sick of pecking out letters or my thumbs are sore. It's to embarrassing to use in public though.People look at me funny when I talk to my ipad3. .Funny when I first got it I didn't know about siri and when she asked me by name "how can I help you I freaked and immediately shut down my ipad.lol:)

What is playing at the movies?
What is the temperature going to be today?
What is the weather forecast for Thursday?
Take me to a location, contact, or business.
Call a person, or dial a number
Add an appointment to my calendar
Remind me to do something at a specific time.
What is the score of a ball game?
Show me a person in my contact list.
What appointments do I have today?

I don't have it on any of my devices, but many of my friends do, and from what I've heard they always forget about it!

I used it once to send a test text to a friend in my iPad. I guess I will need to practice more lol.

Sent from my WiFi Only Black 64GB iPad with Retina Display in NYC using iPF

I like to ask her "who does this iPad belong to?"among other silly things... My phone does the same. I are easily amused...sigh. I saved myself from bumping into furniture one night when a circuit tripped, and it was too dark to see. The iPad was on a bedside table, and me yelling at Siri, gave me enough light to see well enough to reach my flash light. L
