How do I make a itune playlist

I tried to download a you tube movie, but told I need a playlist.

Can anyone tell me correct procedure.

I always turn the sidebar on so it will be easier. Just click View then Show Sidebar. Find the (+) icon and click New Playlist. That's it

If you're on iTunes 11, you have to enable the sidebar. Click on the little icon on the top left of iTunes, show the menu bar. Then click view and show the sidebar and you should see what Alice is saying

You can also go to File>New Playlist, if you don't want to deal with the sidebar.
I believe Command>N does this as well.
