How do I change the icons to different things?

I have and iPad2 and I don't know how to change the icons. I have a friend, and he made his apps and utilities, etc. look like chocolate. I wanted to know how to do that. Do I have to download an app?

You have to jailbreak. There is no untethered (convenient) jailbreak for iOS 5, and none at all for the iOS 4.3.5 on the iPad 2. There should be an un-teathered jailbreak for iOS 5 eventually. Or so the rumors run.
