Hotmail old emals

[Ipad Now]

I can't search any of my older emails on my iPad. But I can find them on my Mac.

I set up my email as a hotmail account in settings.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Check in your Settings app under the "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" tab. Scroll down until you see the line titled "Mail." The first line there ("Show") will allow you to show up to 1,000 recent messages.

Maybe that'll help?

Also, when you go to Settings - Mails, Contacts, Calendars: tap your account, there you'll find "Mail Days to Sync", tap it and choose "No Limit".

Aren't the 700 or so read emails there any more? Afaik it was working before, wasn't it?

Perhaps it will help if you delete that account and set it up again.

No not there anymore. Yes it was working fine before. I did try deleting and setting up again. What if I set it up as an exchange account?

I just tried this, but couldn't find a difference. It's set up the same way as Microsoft Hotmail. At least, it was working the same way for me.
There are certainly members who know more about the difference between "normal" Hotmail and Exchange account than me.

You can try to set it up that way. If it doesn't work right, there's still the possibility to set it up as Hotmail account again, and delete the other account.
