A belated hello from Grimbarian - why Grimbarian? It's the description given to anyone born in the town of Grimsby, Lincolnshire, UK.
I have an iPad1 and an iPhone 4, both bought second hand. Until last Thursday I was delighted with both as they did everything I wanted without any problems.
I 'upgraded' the iPad to iOS5 but quite honestly wish I hadn't bothered and really hope that the chap asking if it is possible to revert to iOS4 gets a positive reply. Why? Mainly because I am now having real problems with USB connectivity. Since the 'upgrade' I have to reboot the iPad every time I plug it in the PC to get the USB connection recognised. On top of that the iPad refuses to recognise my camera or SD card when plugged in and my USB MIDI connection device which worked perfectly with iOS4 is no longer recognised. Now I have £50+ of music apps which I can no longer use with an external keyboard.
There is no way I will take the chance of 'upgrading' my iPhone. One piece of equipment ruined is enough for me.
John the Grimbarian. (feeling very grim at the moment)
