I am still not sure if I want to buy an iPad. I held it in my hands in San Francisco, but there are some shortcomings I think: no USB-port, you can't connect it to a printer, Microsoft Office doesn't work.....should I buy it or shoudn't I???

First of all, welcome to the forum.

If you are looking for something to replace a laptop or netbook, the iPad may not be the best choice for you. It is primarily a consumption device and is not meant to do exactly the same things as your computer. There are new apps coming out every day that make it more useful and more flexible, but please do not expect it to do things it was not designed for.

As 1991-C4 said it is what is. it's not a laptop replacement if you need office.
