Hey decided to check out ipads and found someone willing to part with thiers for $225. I think that was worth it. So what do i do now? Lol

Also guess i will have to wait to try out jailbreaking, the previous owner already updated it to 4.3.

Also i was thinking of trying to use the ipad to take notes in class. What is a good app to write with ontop of pdfs?

Thanks!

Welcome to the boards and to the iPad. For taking notes in class, I would suggest just using Notes already installed on the iPad, as long as your notes are primarily text.

For annotating PDFs, I would suggest GoodReader. If you haven't already installed iBooks, do so now.

Another app that allows you to write on to PDFs is iAnnotate. It's more expensive than GoodReader but it is a, more-or-less, specialist single-purpose app for PDF annotation and has more 'capability' than GoodReader in that domain. There's also a comprehensive User Manual that you can download from the Developer's website, so you can check out its capabilities and see if it's what you want.

Have fun with your iPad
