Help with Handbrake

After searching the web I have found that if I want to watch a movie on my Ipad I need to convert the file type from .avi to mp4. I have downloaded the Handbrake program to help me with this. I was just wondering what I should have my settings at in order to get the best quality playback.

Using the iPad default settings is usually a good way o go.
