Carolyn, so sorry to hear about your accident. Thinking of you and wishing you well.

I am inspired by many people amongst my family and friends, for different reasons. Mostly I am inspired when I see people in difficult situations because of their circumstances, and they don't let that stop them from achieving, from being positive, from being caring and compassionate. I am most inspired by my mum, and I can't share her picture or her story without her permission. But she has taught me, or introduced me to, so many of the things that I love doing and am good at. She is a hugely creative, independent and adventurous spirit.



I am also inspired by how children are so adaptable and resilient. Here's a really grainy pic of my son, determined to participate in the rainbow loom craze sweeping through his school, despite a newly acquired plaster cast.

You all know her as Bobbie L and she has inspired me to be a better person in general! I'm inspired mostly by her because she loves anybody and everybody for who they truly are! I've never met another person who truly wants me( or anybody, especially her children) to be happy!!! It's an amazing feeling to be in her company, to be loved by her and to know that no matter who you are or what you do she will love you, protect you and most of all defend you to depths that you could never imagine!!! Hi Samantha!
A guy popped too many pills and was driving erratically (per witnesses). I was stopped at a red light with my daughter. A red Mercedes was behind me, also stopped. Pill guy doesn't even slow down and runs smack into red! I heard the crash, looked in me rear view mirror and I see red heading my way. BAM! Pill guy got arrested . I see my doc this morning so I'll find out how my inside is doing. Audi did her job! The bumper safety absorption was great! Doesn't even look like I got hit!! I'll take her in, tho, cuz ya never know if there was structural damage! Thank you for your compassion. I miss you!

Wow, so many things to respond to in 24 hours!!

Carolyn, how are you feeling today? That's such a helpless feeling... Really hope it'll be just minor aches and pains for you and Audi. Keep us posted.

I learned something new today, Mickymaid. . Did not know you and the wonderful Bobbie were connected. . I think you both should know that one evening we were chatting in our neighborhood, about all the really great people from ipf who had helped us out, and who had been friendly and welcoming when we first found ipf. There were at least 5-6 of us all typing at once, and every single person named you both! There were MANY other regulars here who were also mentioned with much affection. What a great group!

I am inspired by different things at different times, but I believe I will choose this random but inspiring collection of people here as my inspiration. While HD may be just a game, I have played others where you "connect" with other players but I have rarely found people who genuinely cared about others who they may have never met. The support, friendship and camaraderie really transcends the game, and it reminds me often how a little kindness goes so far. So thank you all for being an inspiration.

Words well spoken and true. IPF peeps have become the truest of life-long, deep, and heart-felt friends.

My daughter and I know that things could have been a lot worse. I thank God for my brand new car, because it did it's job of keeping us safe. I met a kind, sweet lady who rear-ended me when pill dude ran into her. I'm hoping he gets the help he needs, because, obviously, he is needing help.

My bedside lamp has been lovingly customised with a daisy chain of scary looking creatures, which I have to keep, of course. I also love this stained glass lamp, which we bought to use as a night light when our son was a baby - it had a very low wattage red bulb in it at the time.

He has just discovered that one of his Easter eggs is missing, believed eaten, by someone other than him. Oops.
