I am inspired by many people amongst my family and friends, for different reasons. Mostly I am inspired when I see people in difficult situations because of their circumstances, and they don't let that stop them from achieving, from being positive, from being caring and compassionate. I am most inspired by my mum, and I can't share her picture or her story without her permission. But she has taught me, or introduced me to, so many of the things that I love doing and am good at. She is a hugely creative, independent and adventurous spirit.

I am also inspired by how children are so adaptable and resilient. Here's a really grainy pic of my son, determined to participate in the rainbow loom craze sweeping through his school, despite a newly acquired plaster cast.
