Hi, my sweet dearest Donna!!! You know I'm thinking about YOU all the time, my precious one! I am trying to get input on avatar suggestions. After several days, I've only received one suggestion from one person with a nod from another person. My goal was to be able to post a "menu" of topics for a week (48 hours each). Perhaps, the interest only involves 3, maybe 4 people. I have put a lot of my effort into this...I'm thinking the times they are a changing! We have a few more days left in our week long hiatus..., if nothing else comes up, we will do the final suggestion.. (stay tuned...same Bat time, same Bat channel!), then, I retire from the Avatar Gang Leadership position. Perhaps, someone else can put back the bubbles in the carbonation! . Either way, it's been a blast to the moon and back! And I love everyone who has participated! We've had SOOOOO much fun and we've brought a "Dead Thread" back to life! Really, it has been so powerful! I've received so many awe-inspiring comments from almost everyone who has "joined in the fun"! If you (the IPF Off-Topic family) only knew what many of you have written to me.... I give all the Glory to the One who made all this happen!

Don't step down, dear Carolyn! You're our glue! We need you! I think that you've had lovely ideas for avatars, and I'm happy to go along with anything you suggest! I don't care how it works out, I'm just happy to be in the mix somewhere And thank you about your lovely comments about me too, and I've just remembered someone else I was just recently told I look like - Molly Sims...I didn't know who she was till I googled her, but I guess I see a bit of similarity...especially if you slap lots of make up on me...and get me my own stylist...and wardrobe person...and....oh never mind...

Regarding avatars, perhaps another option is for people to take turns to suggest a topic. Whoever does the last avatar appoints the next person, and we go with whatever they suggest. W could try it for a while? Puts less pressure on just one person.

This seems like a great idea if Carolyn is getting a bit burned out. I don't always get back here on time, but I've really enjoyed this thread, and it's been a great way to get to know people a bit beyond just materials swapping.

How about this idea ... If ANYONE has a suggestion, please let me know. If I can't think of something and I haven't received suggestions, we automatically revert to a "Whatever you want theme" when the allotted time is up.

I wasn't "burned out". I had noticed that traffic on all the threads I'm involved in, at least, has been very, very slow. I thought the times have changed on IPF. I was saddened by the lack of response to my request for ideas, but, being there IS less traffic, that makes sense.

As I said, I KNOW how wonderful such a simple thing as this avatar change has made in all our lives. I have truly been blessed. So, if even four, three, two, or just me, participate, then at least we are having fun! And maybe some old and new peeps will "join in the fun"!
