Hey Avatar Gang!!

Almost 12 hours without a post on Off Topic!!!!???!!! This is reminiscent of pre-Avatar Changes here!! I don't know if any of you might have looked back to see how many posts were made before our AC days compared to how many posts there have been since we started changing avatars. We started around 3/4 into November - maybe the last week. Check it out. You will be shocked!!

We have just under 24 more hours until our next Avatar Change. The floor is open to suggestions!! You guys are all the best, by the way! Sooooo supportive and loving to everyone. Thank you all for being so kind to each and every person.

Hi Carolyn! I popped in, put my head around thought "Yikes! Where is everyone?" And for just a second thought maybe I missed the rapture "Oh no!" But you're here now, so I guess I didn't really miss it...phew! Unless we've both missed it????? lol!

Dang! If WE both missed it then so did everyone else!! Maybe the rapture is everyone goes to H E double toothpicks and Earth is the new Heaven! So maybe we DID make it!!! Lol! . You're so funny!

But a CREAM boat is not funny!! .

Maybe we can do an AC of what each person pictures as their afterlife. Heaven, Hell, Void, Limbo, Planet Owner, back on Earth as something else. I don't know all the different beliefs. Hhmmmm. I'm sure that won't be it but it would be interesting!

I almost started my Question of the Day again here because it is so dead... When someone fills a crate on you boat, do you think "Sweetheart" or "Sucker"? Ha! Do you remember those Questions of the Day? It was before we became friends! One I asked was: When finished fishing, do you press the boat or the home button to get back to your farm? Do you remember? I have some other good questions I'll ask down the road!

Weird thread day, huh? I had a super busy work day, got home late, laid on the sofa to try and recover, had some dinner and then it was almost bedtime. Didn't open up HD or anything else on the iPad till now.
Ideas for the next Avi change? Hmmmmm.....I'm stumped. We could do another color I guess. Or knick-knacks....I like looking at other people's knick-knacks .

I remember those questions! I think we should have more.

Like: do you always try to fill boats yourself, or always open three crates, or only open crates when you can't fill them?
Or, what do you do to make the game interesting, when it gets boring? (I can answer that now, because I am currently working on two projects, but I will save it, in case we have that question).

Or, why do so few people run lotteries???

I liked the colour avatars, so am wondering if there is a colour we haven't had yet. Yellow? Pink? Jack? I mean, black?

I also like food, so am thinking desserts? Favourite dish? Favourite cuisine?

What about a pic of the place you live in? An outside shot of your house, apartment, condo, tent, trash can, cardboard lean-to, car? These days, here at least, people have lived in luxury one day and the next day, they have no home. It's a sad sign of the times, but it isn't the "house" that makes the home, it's the LOVE!

What about a pic of the place you live in? An outside shot of your house, apartment, condo, tent, trash can, cardboard lean-to, car? These days, here at least, people have lived in luxury one day and the next day, they have no home. It's a sad sign of the times, but it isn't the "house" that makes the home, it's the LOVE!

What about, if people aren't comfy posting a pic of their abode, a pic of a window in your abode? Either looking out through the window, or just the window, from inside or out. I can see a few likely candidates right now...!

I'm just trying to catch up. Man, you guys are prolific these days! I love all the stories of what's precious. So many good ideas and stories....

It's really not an exciting story, just means a lot to me. Hubby (John) and I used to enjoy browsing round a particular antique shop in Seattle. I spotted this little vase and completely fell in love with it. Don't really know why, I see lots of pretty things in there, but this vase just drew me in. I always admired it, but it was $65 and we were broke, and I couldn't justify spending it. For months I saw this little vase and would always pause at the cabinet it was in and peek at it for a couple of minutes. One day we went in and it had sold I was gutted! If I couldn't have it at least I wanted to be able to look at it! John said to talk to the shop owner and ask if it was really sold, or maybe moved, and she said sold" I was irrationally sad about it. Three weeks later on my birthday John gives me a present - the little vase was mine! Bawled my eyes out! The End. GC: EyeC999 Level 86

I agree. We flooded in 2005 and I was so thankful the photo albums were on the second floor, not in the basement. So many photos of people long since gone. It would break my heart to lose those. Useless to anyone else; priceless to me.

OK, lots to comment on, so here goes:
1. Took me 5 minutes to understand what "H E double toothpicks" means...so maybe I'm not going THERE, but need to go back to school?
2. The cream boat was as a result of me mis-calculating, or mis-remembering just HOW many creams I had....coulda sworn I had more...maybe got robbed?
3. I always think "sweetheart" and rush to their stand and buy something to say "thanks"
4. Seriously - I want to have a long talk with the person who thinks they'll become a planet owner in the afterlife! And what kind of a reward is that? I would spend all my time here being extremely naughty if that was my reward for being good! Would be realllllly upset if I found out that was my reward for abstaining from sex, drugs and rock and roll all this time!!!!!! (Wonder if any of that will get bleeped?)
5. I love the question of the day idea - my question would be "do you play with the sound effects and/or music on or off?"
