Corn bags are feed corn in a sack of some sort. You warm them in the microwave and they stay warm for 3-4hours. Keeps the frost off your toes! I have one I wrap around my neck.

Yes, we do have the Santa Ana's! A nice 85 degrees, perfect for swimming (except our pool water is too cold!). I'm getting a great tan!! The winds have been very strong though, they even whistle!

Ah, so like a wheat bag! I use an old-fashioned hot water bottle, as we don't have a microwave. :)

Thank you dear! I tried hard to take the photo myself, but my toes are not quite as flexible as Sam's :) so I had to engage the services of my personal photographer, who was a bit impatient, as the job was taking him away from more important things, like Minecraft, and was unpaid. After I rejected several pics which were too blurry, and appeased his tender feelings ("I AM holding it still!!", "I'm trying my BEST") - so temperamental, these arty types - we eventually settled on a different angle, which meant more light, and a white pillow as background, and voilà!

Thank you! :) The camera in the iPad leaves a lot to be desired. If the light isn't just right, the image is grainy. Pretty crap really, the iPhone is much better, but sadly, I don't have one. :(

I have been practising photographing my elbows with my toe (it's important to have a hobby) and am pleased to report that I have succeeded! Gosh it's tricky! Now I am working on the quality of the image. I soon realised that it's a whole lot easier if you turn the camera around so that it's facing you! I want to be prepared for our "elbows photographed by toes" avatar theme, which gets my next vote! That's assuming of course, that I get enough notice! ;)
