Morning all, and Merry Christmas! My day started at 4.30am!
I knew it would be early, but this was too much! The night before we had a discussion about not getting up before it was light. We discussed how much light constituted "daylight", and clarified that "a bit of light" and "greyish" was not actually daylight, and settled on not before 6am under any circumstances, barring medical emergencies which required an ambulance. Minor cuts and grazes did not count.
At 6.01am I had to confirm that one of the items in the stocking was actually for him, as everything in the stocking was for him. At 6.07am I had a complete list of items in the stocking, which required exclamations of surprise and interest, and a request to go on the iPad. Request denied. That was a mistake. And so it continued, until at 7.30am I was presented with a cup of luke-warm, milky tea, and a piece of burnt toast, with something sweet on it, which I couldn't identify.
At this point, I abandoned all hope of getting back to sleep. So now, I'm off to have my second breakfast of scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, and a cup of strong tea with only a little milk!

Merry Christmas to you all!! I have made some AMAZING friends here over this past (almost) year. I've become close with a few of you, and one person in particular has become so much more to me than I could ever explain. It's weird, I'm so not into Christmas, but I'm having a ridiculous sentimental moment, so please allow me to ramble on while it's just falling off my fingertips. Don't panic, I'll go back to sarcastic, "funny" Laura in a minute, lol.
Anyway, I could not be more glad to have stumbled upon this forum. I've had a lot fun here over the past (almost) year. I've laughed more here with you guys than I have at all with people in "real life" this year. You made me feel very welcome when I first came here, and I'm grateful for that. I'm glad I stuck around to enjoy this place and grow the friendships that have blossomed, even though I'm notoriously bad at maintaining them, thank you for your patience, btw. Thank you all for accepting me, helping me (in and outside of the game), listening to me ranting and most of all, I think I just wanna say thank you for your time.
I sincerely hope and wish that each and every one of you have a wonderful Christmas Day, however you choose to spend it.

Laura, lovely sentiments to share at such a sweet time of year,
. I hope to get to know you better in the new year, and I also feel blessed by the friends I've made here! To me, this forum has been part game help, part friendship and laughter, and a whole lot of therapy
