HayDay Friends Off-Topic

I thought this thread would bring out the best pet pic's.

I did like the idea of someone posting a picture of their own farm product tho. Maybe next time? Something they baked, grew, or made a great meal out of!

I hate baking also, it was some one else's idea at one time, I was gonna have my mom bake an apple pie, or make a breakfast casserole myself. ya can do bacon and eggs? Or send your hub out for the fish, or find a carton of milk

Well, as it's so quiet.., here's a very poor quality pic of one of our former chickens, whose name was Clawser. My son named her, so I have no idea how you spell it, but that's what it sounded like! She was a demon digger, she liked to dig a large hole then roll around in it like a dog. She had a crazy bouffant hairdo and feathers on her feet. Chumleyboo, level 75

In terms of HD produce from our homes, don't forget jams, juices, milk, eggs, cheese, woolly hats, jumpers! You don't have to bake or cook something, if that's not your thing. :) Chumleyboo, level 75

Lol! Oh my gosh, I LOVE this picture! My husband adores chickens, and this is one to see! Cracked up at the "bouffant" hairstyle, lol! Hehehe! We used to have 4 of them, named Hannah, Pearl, Flo, and The Little One. I enjoyed the eggs, but inevitably was the one who cleaned up, fed them, etc...typical! We had 2 small tree stumps for us to sit on in the coop, I'd roll them out the way each morning so they could get the grubs and worms from underneath - yech! But best eggs I ever ate.

I didn't think about that! I've gotta box of nails around here someplace, hehehe! Oh, I really want this to be the next theme now!

I was surprised at how much work was involved in looking after chickens. One of the best things about them, apart from the eggs of course, was that they would eat cockroaches and the cabbage white caterpillars which used to decimate our broccoli plants. We get these bush cockroaches here, which have a white stripe around the edge of their bodies, and although they don't eat your food, they still make me shudder whenever I see them. One flick in the chickens' direction and that cockroach was toast! Astonishing how fast they can move. Apart from Clawser, we also had three bantams, a petrol black beauty called Mavis, a lavender called Portia Deluxe and an apricot coloured one called Jaws. You can guess which one my husband named!

Lol, so true about the bugs and the speed at which they gobble them up! There was this massive, gross, colorful bulbous grub/grasshopper thing and before I could shriek it was gone in a flash! I wasn't sure if I was relieved or horrified! A bit of both I think...! Love their names, too :). We went for names you'd expect your granny to have because they looked like little old busy-body old women :D

Off to get my beauty sleep now, g'night :)

Hey Avatar Gang! Two choices for the next change (10 hours from now):

1. Your favorite power tool (gotta get those boys involved!!). This would run for 24 hours.
2. A "real" something from our Hay Day farm. Bake a cheesecake, knit up a blue sweater, buy a blackberry jam, etc. this would run for 48 hours.

If people need time to bake, we could do the power tools then the real item ?? Thoughts?

Let the voting begin! :)
