Doesn't the time start when you start the game? So if you don't log on for all day the boat will arrive as soon as you start the game?

That's been my experience also. Sometimes I purposefully don't play the game so all my production lines will be empty when the boat "arrives.". If it's due to "arrive" overnight while I am sleeping, I have found the time doesn't start until I start playing the game, like Marhz said. I think "4h" is the minimum time it will take to arrive unless you spend the diamond to get it sooner.

Thanks for clarifying that, I always thought it would arrive no matter what so I always missed the boat due to work. I will not logging in the game until i'm back home tomorrow then. And I'll be at your farm now, thanks again!

Sorry if it may sound stupid but anyone knows how many hours we get for filling up the crates for boat orders? Is it always 14-15hrs? And how about travel time? I'm trying to allocate the time for my next order as tomorrow is Monday and I can't play until I get home from work. TIA.

Yes, it's just like Marhz and 2catz said: you can stall the 4-hours waiting time between boats by not logging in to the game before the 4-hours ended.
I stalled my last #12th boat by logging out / leaving the game 44 seconds just before it arrived, to give time for my cookies to finish cooked
Then I came back to the game 2 hours later and the boat just arrived!
So you can leave the game all day and when you got home and get into the game, the boat will wait for you
