How do you send boats away?

Click the boat icon and it will sail away.

When boat arrives, before loading anything (all crates empty, don't place anything), if u don't like or want to start filling it, click on the boat at the bottom, as u do when u send it, and it should ask u to cast it off, or not

I can confirm that sending it away WILL reset your count. You will start over.

I always got helped with jams during this Captain achievement, so I was just so eager to help... but apparently I still couldn't, was just checking my barn and all jams sitting there are cherries & blackberries :'(
I'll look out for you though!
