any one have nails, and or duck tape. my barn and silo is full, and i can not upgrade as i do not have ennough materials.

I have nails. I used half my duct tape today. I can't find screws. Just like when I first started playing I kept getting screwed because I couldn't find screws. (LOL)

Sweet, i would not be able to like 2 from you? I wish building materials were easier to come by!

Some general tips from me:

*There's a reason the newspaper is full of listings for eggs; They sell for 450$ per 30 and Gregg comes by 24 hours after you list it to buy them. Keep most of your boxes full of these.
*Building supplies don't stay listed for long, so if someone beats you to the sale, stick around for a minute to see if the seller lists more. I've cleaned out numerous people after missing the initial item because everyone else took off. (This goes for anyone selling anything for really good prices)
*While you're waiting for new listings, have a look around the farm you're visiting. If you see a lockbox in the ground you can open them.
*Be aggresive when purchasing from other players. If an item is listed for a good price buy it, even if you don't need it. You'll profit off of it at some point.
*Don't be afraid to send your neighbors away unhappy. They tend to want stuff that takes forever to make or grow. I never sell them things that come from the loom because of the build time.
*When cycling through the newspaper ads, always check out the people that have something other than eggs listed. They usually have other non egg items for sale as well so you may find something you need.
*Don't spend diamonds on anything other than increasing your production limits. (wish I knew that a long time ago) Boxes aren't worth spending diamonds on.
*Having lots of friends helps you sell more items per day. Jump over to the gamecenter thread and add some people.

Thats all I have for now, but I'm sure that's not all the good advice for this game. Hopefully this helps some of you guys out.

My one tip is simple but useful. Know the difference between advertising in the newspaper versus advertising to your friends.

In the picture below, I am advertising to the newspaper. Why is there an abundance of ads for eggs you wonder!? The answer is simple. Folks aren't aware of the difference between advertising to your friends and advertising to the paper.

There's a high probability that no one is going to purchase your 30 eggs at $450. Greg is going to buy those. So prior to selecting "put on sale", select "advertise" to remove the check mark so your item(s) willNOT be displayed in the paper. Keep it selected for the items you actually want to advertise.

There are so many egg ads because this concept is not considered.

Hi, first time on here...

I loaded up all my production queues, planted crops that take hours to grow....only to return several hours later to find NO time had passed! What's happened here? I had shut down all apps, but I'm sure I've done the same thing overnight and time has passed on my little farm. I'm so annoyed.

Anyone else noticed this today?

No idea. If the problem persists I suggest emailing the Hay Day support team to troubleshoot the issue. Include your farm name in the email.

I have 2 seperate hay day farms. One on ipad, one on iphone. Both use the same game center id. Is there any way for the 2 farms to be "friends"? Thanks!

Can anyone explain to me what benefit you get from planting crops? It seems like I will have so many in my silo, then plant something but then it doesn't seem there is an increase in my silo after harvest. For example, I have 5 pumpkins then plant and harvest but it doesn't seem like I end up with any more than I started with. Also, does the silo tell you how many you can plant or how many you have on hand to use. I'm totally confused about the whole thing. I would like to maximize crop production and avoid buying crops from others

Planting crops allows you to produce other items as well as selling those items. You mentioned pumpkins. You need pumpkins(3 of them)to make pumpkin pie. If you don't harvest any you'll have to buy them. Walkup customers also buy pumpkins.

If you plant pumpkins and prior to harvest you sell some or produce a pumpkin pie, the pumpkin count in your silo will decrease accordingly.

In the pictures I've attached you'll see a before harvest and after harvest.

Before harvest I have 6 soy bean and 4 sugar cane in my silo.

After harvest I have 36 soy bean and 34 sugar cane in my silo because I planted 15 crops of each and each crops yields double in harvest.

If I hade produce some cow feed, my soy bean numbers would have been decreased accordingly. Hope this helps.

Hey all,

My wife and I started Hay Day July 4th and we're hooked. However, I have been trying to get on all day and it's stuck at the intro page (with the chicken and pig running on the clouds). It doesn't say "Connecting", it doesn't say "Loading"...nothing! Is the game broken, servers down or could my account info be corrupted?

Can anyone provide any insight?

Thanks.

When that happens to me it's because I do not have an internet connection at the time. Double check your connection. Try rebooting your device as well.

I thought that could be it, so I tried getting onto the Internet. It was fine (though a bit slower since I'm traveling and in a hotel). I tried some other games that require Internet connections and they worked. Rebooting didn't change anything either. I may just have to wait until I return home from my trip and try it again. *sigh*
